H.E.R.O. Binder
What is a H.E.R.O. Binder?
The acronym H.E.R.O. stands for Have Everything Ready and Organized. It is a three ring binder that my fifth grade students will use every day to help develop organizational skills and promote responsibility. This binder is a way of maintaining effective communication between home and school. This is why I asked for it to be a 'zipped' 3" binder because the zipper will help keep papers in place and keep them from falling out onto the floor and being misplaced.
The binder will be carried to and from school everyday. We will organize this binder in class with the tabs you will supply. I will give copies of important papers for each subject area that need to stay in the binder. These papers will go into the plastic sleeves that you supplied, as well.
The "Yea, I did it" Mastery Club papers will go in this binder, as well. If your child is at home and has some free time and you are wondering what he/she can do, you will have the challenges with you.
All field trip and lunch money will be carried in this binder in the plastic pencil bag that I will supply.
